Internship Details

Location and Working Pattern

The internship follows a hybrid model. You will spend part of your time at Carbon Brief’s office near London Bridge station and the rest working remotely. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break.

Reporting and Supervision

You will be mentored by Associate Editor Daisy Dunne, who will guide you through the placement and help you make the most of the experience.

What You’ll Do

Interns are not mere observers—they actively contribute to Carbon Brief’s mission. Here are some of the key tasks you’ll undertake:

  • Research, write, and publish your own article on the Carbon Brief website.
  • Promote your article using visuals and social media channels.
  • Assist in researching and writing Carbon Brief’s popular newsletters.
  • Help shape the outlet’s coverage by identifying new stories in scientific papers and policy documents.
  • Create and discuss social media content to engage a wider audience.
