Flutter Core Team Announces Global Tour 2026: Key Events, New Releases, and Developer Engagement
Breaking News: Flutter Core Team to Tour Globally in 2026
The Flutter team today unveiled an ambitious global tour for 2026, aiming to connect directly with developers across more than 20 events worldwide. The announcement comes alongside the upcoming release of Dart 3.12 and Flutter 3.44, signaling a major push for community-driven feedback and collaboration.
According to Jane Smith, Flutter’s Developer Relations Lead, “Our mission is to build the most productive app framework and language for high-performance, full-stack, multi-platform applications. Hearing from you is how we achieve that.” The tour kicks off with Google Cloud Next in Las Vegas and extends through fall and winter DevFest events.
Background
Flutter, Google’s open-source UI toolkit, powers cross-platform applications for mobile, web, and desktop. With a global community of hundreds of thousands of developers, the team has long prioritized in-person engagement. Previous tours and conferences have led to direct product improvements, such as enhanced widget libraries and performance optimizations.
This year’s tour is notably larger, covering regions from North America and Europe to Asia and Latin America. It also coincides with Google I/O and other flagship developer events. The team is sponsoring appearances by Google Developer Experts and organizing partner advisory boards alongside community meetups.

For the latest updates, the team recommends bookmarking Flutter.dev’s Events page. “We’ll continue to add more events throughout the year,” Smith added.
What This Means
This tour represents a significant opportunity for developers to provide direct input into the framework’s roadmap. Attendees can expect live demos of upcoming features, hands-on workshops, and one-on-one conversations with core engineers.
For enterprise teams and independent developers alike, the events offer a chance to influence the evolution of Flutter ahead of major releases. The team is also actively seeking community-organized meetups not listed—organizers can reach out to see if a team member can attend if already in the area.
“Some of the most impactful moments of my career have come from community-led events,” said Smith. “We thrive when we connect in person.”
